When I walk with you, I am protected yet free

On this walk with you I have come so far and am excited for the latter end of the journey

When I walk with you, my spirit has an unmovable foundation

When I walk with you, the one whose whisper moves mountains, I carry my peace

When I walk with you, I remember my mission

When I walk with you, my feet do not feel the streets

When I walk with you, I feel nothing missing

The man you created me to be

Is the man I aim to be

The blessings you give to me

I will share with my enemies

The wisdom you give me

I will give to my enemies

The love you give to me

I will give to my enemies

When I walk with you Lord, the narrow path you designed is the most spacious

Because on this path Lord, I understand that I have no space for worldly things

Only those that are gracious

No space for anger and hate

Living as the son you sent may be impossible for a mere mortal such as I

But I will get as close to it as possible until you pull me to the gate

Nothing will pull me off of this path

When I walk with you Lord, I look back in pure amazement, pure gratitude to you

When I walk with you Lord, I feel whole

Soul Steering

When you feel tempted to flee from your path,

Let your soul steer.

When you find yourself sulking in them instead of processing your emotions,

Let your soul steer.

When the anger pushes disastrous decisions as choices ahead of the god given choices,

Let your soul steer.

When the flesh pulls you to a place that has your mind feeling lost,

Let your soul steer.

Life will always place walls, traps and mazes in front of you.

Let your soul steer.

To try to find a way out of the darkness,

Let your soul steer.

To fill the cavity that feels heartless,

Let your soul steer.

If you are trying to find love,

Drive deeper within yourself.

Isolate the urge to serve others and learn to love yourself.

To understand and accept who you are.

The next time you let your soul steer, you’ll have unlimited fuel.

At a Golden Door

Lost memories have been freed.

It’s pure bliss.

When my vision clears,

What I thought was a mirage settled.

A golden door that i pray is unlocked.

The voices, energy and pure joy in laughter almost bleed from the other side as I approach.

The path leading to this door is nothing but golden clouds.

They glisten on and through my feet.

I can feel the world below them and feel the wind.

I feel my Mother,

Hear my Father,

And can sense my Sisters joy.

With each step by body is weightless.

The pain is still there but it’s the faintest,

It seems sheltered and secluded.

Away.

But still there..

I wish it wasn’t so easy to form this illusion,

But we all do,

That there is no peace in oblivion.

That there can be no sunshine after the storm.

I found my peace in Corinthians,

And you can too.

You’ll be amazed to learn what comes after the storm,

Amazed at what you can pull out of yourself when you follow Christ.

Until the day he pulls you through the firmament,

He’ll never put you through anything you can’t handle.

The pain is temporary, never permanent.

What lasts is the growth that comes from it.

His path will never be easy,

But it will bear you the best fruit.

Your soul will step in front of the flesh with each step you take.

The pain may still be there,

But his path will restore the soul and ease the ache.

Do your loved ones know how you feel without question?

Have you become the “You” you wanted to be?

How’s your relationship with yourself and the man up above?

If history repeats itself truly, I’m kind of worried

Although the voices that are loud used to be the ones buried

Is that going to be enough when the clocks stop counting

When we’re all buried?

I apologize for being dark but we need to have these thoughts

Even though through the violence, pain and everything else we’ve dealt with and been victims of

It’s been beautiful to see each moment that the hate dissolves and the air is full of love

Those 90s cookout vibe kind of days

With music, dancing and a layer of looping laughter strong enough to help us ignore the heat

Chase what makes you happy

What helps you evolve

What gets you a better understanding of yourself

Change your mentality and you’ll love the changes in the way the world revolves

Not just around you but in every way

We’d have more of those cookout days to talk about

Instead of the ones full of pain raining on seemingly all of us at the same time

What song has been in your head since picturing being around your family?

It’s “summertime” by Will for me just about every time

If that song isn’t the pinnacle of black cookouts other than MAYBE the Cupid shuffle, idk what is.

Each day can be a day we make another one of those memories

I just hope to see more myself

Reborn Pages

A lot of us are lost and disconnected from each other and even ourselves. Broken puzzle pieces will never get you the full picture. You give us a glimpse of the full picture then refuse to help us find the pieces.

You’re not alone, don’t ever give up and remember your goal is to enjoy this lifetime, grow and move on. We never die, our vessels do.

My favorite stage in life is one I talked about today

Its the age when your mind starts to really run away

When nothing but questions run through your mind in every way

Every day

I love this age because it’s the most important phase to me as well

If you think about it this is the age where your mind starts to form into who you are

Those questions you ask you ask those same questions we all asked our parents or learned in school and maybe a few unique to you

With the right answers those are the ones that seem to separate the celebrities from the lonely, the poor from the rich and especially the happy from the sad

We all need answers

We all need guidance

Racism is such a complex topic to the world it seems

I dont see the confusion, racists need answers and guidance

I love this image because you see the love between the two children

Thats the age where most of us understand what love feels like

When the pictures are taken of the child staring at the mother or father in with so much love anyone who sees the picture can feel see it

It became a crossroads for many people

A lot of us forget where we come from

We all go through life to grow and learn

The struggles we go through on the way create anxiety, depression and so much more

We can all make it through

We need answers and guidance to do that

Mental illness is another example. These hospitals, medicines and so many more things are designed to tuck things into the background in some way

The way people are treated in mental institutions has almost dissolved the trust the industry has to some and has to an extent defeated its purpose in the worst cases

The effects of these medicines do much more damage to your body, mind and spirit in many of us

This doesn’t allow those who go to these places and medicines for guidance and help to get just that

The guidance and answers

These lessons help you grow

If you dont learn you wont grow

You can only learn with the proper answers

I feel like we are at a terrifyingly divisive point of existence right now

But maybe if instead of expelling someone who may be a bit far off or even miles from the proper or most morally ethic way of life, or who still has racist ideals, we could offer some guidance and see where the conversation goes
